The Writers Write Workshop series is a set of year-round fiction writing workshops offered at the entry and advanced levels. Each set of workshops run for three-hour sessions on a weekly schedule, and are capped at twelve students per workshop.

The goal of the Writers Write series is to cultivate and perpetuate the craft and art of literary fiction writing - short story, novel, micro fiction - with an eye toward publication and/or acceptance into graduate writing programs, or to simply understand better what it means to be a practicing writer.

Members of the workshop produce at least one full-length story during the session, and have that piece put before the workshop where it is analyzed and broken down thoroughly, then built back up by the writer and the instructor. As well, students read and analyze published short stories and novel excerpts, studying the writing techniques - POV, dialogue, scene setting, character development, dramatic movement, plot, etc. - with the goal of implementing these successful literary moves and methods into their own stories.

The tuition for one 3 month Writers Write session is $130, which includes the workshop time, one-on-one consulting with Christian, all copying costs.

The workshops are held in downtown Boise, and offer a serious and fun atmosphere in which to work diligently on literary fiction writing and analysis in a group setting, as well as one-on-one with Christian Winn. Writers Write is the name of the workshop, and it's what we do. If you are a writer - aspiring, practicing, burgeoning, frustrated, hopeful, or otherwise - who takes the art and practice seriously to heart, then you're for us.
