FICTION WRITING WITH CHRISTIAN WINN SUMMER 2018

Write with Christian in a new venue: This workshop will meet Thursday evenings from 6:30 – 8:30 PM on June 14th, 21st, 28th, July 12th, 19th, and 26th

Come join us for this all-levels six-week fiction writing workshop. We will be creating new, original stories focusing on character building, vivid scene setting, compelling plot arc, effective dialogue, use of sensory detail, and imbuing your work with heart. As well we will be reading, studying, and breaking down several great published works from writers such as Jennifer Egan, Richard Ford, George Saunders, Laura van den Berg, Lauren Groff and more with the intention of learning from, and applying ourselves, the effective techniques and styles these writers bring to the page. The workshop community we create will be fun, but serious and thoughtful fun, as we bring our own new stories into the world.
